The hardest part of the job is dealing with medical emergencies, physical altercations, and drunken guest. The security department is one of the few jobs that will work with all department of the casino and security officers will gain knowledge in basic policies of other departments.
New security employees are often given the graveyard shift (11:30pm-7:30am) for training purposes. Manager support is normally good, but manager ideals and process can depend on what shift an employee is assigned. The security department provided training in alcohol, tribal/state gaming policies, first aid/CPR, and risk management. The Casino offers good benefits and a variety job options.
